Lash lift/eyelash perming

Is there anyone on here that's trained in eyelash perming that has gone on to do the new lash lift using the pads as opposed to the rollers without further training? As the process and products are the same just a different mould. I'm wanting to update my treatment as eyelash perming seems so outdated now. Tia xx
