Lash lift help!

I have been practicing lash lifting for over a week now.

I did my friend who had very fluttery eyes and I managed to get a good lift however I did a family member who had quite small/hooded eyes and I couldn’t get the shield close enough to the lashes I wanted therefore the lift wasn’t great.

Does anyone have any tips of getting the shield closer to the lash line?

Also any tips on tinting the lower lashes after/during?

If someone has hooded eyes use some eye tape and tape the looser skin up. I tint on the shield so put Vaseline under the bottom lashes, apply tint and remove altogether
