Lash lift shields

Hi all, I trained last week with LVL and I'm struggling to get the shields flush with the lash roots without having to keep readjusting them which obviously I don't want to do!

Do any lash lift techs have any sneaky tips for getting it right first time?

I cut my shields to fit properly since their one time use anyway. I find the shields too straight vs the curvature of the lash line.
