grr, really stressed out.
i am having trouble with my nobility overlays, with the colours and clear. i can't understand what i'm doing wrong, i'm preparing properly and capping the free edge after each coat, but they start lifting after a couple of day. they aren't lifting when i use tips though. do the gels have a shelf life, and does temperature affect them, cos i'm mobile so can get cold in the car lately. also if the remover is cold will it effect the removal of the gel. any advise would be good, thanks

i can help you.
go to my blogspot, [link below] there is a photo tutorial that give full instructions.
have a look, tell me if you are doing it any different and i'll help you work through your difficulties.

thanks, i'v had a look.
do you cleanse after using the prime bond?
i don't use freeforms when just doing overlays. is it the only way of preventing lifting?

no dont cleanse after using prime bond.

i dont get any lifting at all. my clients go 3 weeks between appointments.
but i have learned the importance of being very thorough when using soak off gels.
they suit some types of nails more than others, but even with very thin flexible nails [like my own] there are ways to make it work.
if you are getting lifting from the free edge you need to seal the ends better, thats not always easy when the nails are very short. another way to help prevent lifting on the free edge is to prevent too much flexing of the nail by ensuring there is a strong vertical apex.
