Hello

I have recently purchased the Light Elegance trial kit, and although I haven't tested the gels on anyone yet I've just watched the instruction dvd tonight. I've just got a couple of questions - I have been pestering Karen at LE all of last week with different queries and she has been really fab but I'm guessing she won't be in the office till next week so I was hoping some fellow geeks might be able to help me sooner.

Although the dvd focused on making sure the shine of the nail was removed during prep, it did not focus much on pushing the cuticle back. When demonstrating a full set, the narrator did mention it then but no seperate cuticle remover product was used or mentioned - a metal cuticle pusher was just used. And when doing an infill, the cuticles were not pushed back at all. I thought perhaps the LE bonder product was maybe really good, and somehow eliminated the need for a cuticle remover....??

Also, the dvd mentions using the French Tip gel for creating a white when doing a full set, but using the Nail Art paint (POW) when doing infills/backfills. Is there a colour difference between these 2 whites or are they the same shade?

Many thanks all.

Hi I use Light Elegance Gels. I follow my normal preparation procedure which doens't always include cuticle remover anyway (I used to get lifting when I used a cuticle remover product)
When doing an infill I again prep the natural nail as normal.
I don't know about the colour of the french tip and pow being the same. I use my french tip for rebalance. I do have both if you would like me to do a test. I have had no luck with the paint on white. It needs to be applied very thinly but mine always peels off

Some company products do advise to dry prep (no cuticle remover) ...others to wet prep (cuticle remover)....as long as both are done with care they can both be effective.

ah ok, so if I see 'bits' on the nail plate, I should just push them off and remove them with the cuticle pusher, and no specific product? Would that be thorough enough?
