Hello :)
I am looking for all your thoughts and ideas/experties etc on becoming a mobile beauty therapist.
I am currently at college doing my first year but i want to get planning for when i qualify.
I am worried how i wil do this though. Say for example a client want wax treatment/manicure and tinting would you do all of these in one session? how do you manage to take everything with you? I can just picture myself getting hot and flustered/nervous walking into the clients house.
What kind of equipment do you use to carry/ stand wax pot on etc.
Sorry my post is a bit bombarded with questions but i'd love to hear your routines on doing treatments and what you use.

Honestly hun, you get used to lugging, it's my daily work out, stops me feeling bad about not getting to the gym.
Yes you would do all the treatments at one time, you do have to be carefull though with waxing as some treatments cant be done with it, ie, spray tanning.
I would have a plastic storage box with all my wax gear in ie, heater, spats, strips, pre wax lotion pre wax oil, and after wax lotion, cotton wool and tweezers and scissors. I have a vanity case with all my tint stuff in and another plastic box with my mani stuff in. A bag for all blankets and towels. Ansd a plastic bag for rubbish.
You would need a light weight couch and a fold down picnic type table to put your stuff on. Also always have an extension lead in your towel bag.
It sounds lots but only takes a couple of trips to the car, and the more you do in one persons house the better, less driving and packing and unpacking so all good. Good luck its a great way to work.xx:hug:

ahh this does not sound so bad now lol. I was really getting in a pickle just thinking about it. I guess i need to just make sure i am always organised. Good tip about the extension lead, think i might have missed that lol. Thank you for your reply, you have clamed me down

I would love to make a suggestion, I think you will find it invaluble to get some experience working in a salon, whether its part time or on a volunteer basis. I found that I learnt more in my first 6 months of employment than i did in the whole time i was at college. You will learn so many new treatment techniques, salon etiquette and get lots of ideas for your own mobile business!!!! If you have just started out you will find it advantageous to gets as much experience as possible.

I hope this helps, and good luck with your mobile biz xxx
