I am getting prepared to lease/rent/buy a place in the near future and have a stationary spa rather than mobile like I've been doing since 2007. Before that I was employed with a local spa since 2004. I am considering renovating half a walk in basement of a house into one also, depending on where we end up, we plan on moving in the next few months.
So...... are there other spa owners from Canada are on here? Where did you buy your equipment from? Not only spa/salon equipment, but also retail equipment and reception desks, etc... I've been stocking up on small things but am now looking into the bigger things.
My main idea is to open a nail bar. Upbeat atmosphere. Also doing pedicures, waxing, tinting, massage, facials, body treatments.
I have found one really nice nail bar I would love to order but at the moment the company is not selling them as they had problems with the countertops on them I guess. I will find the link and add it as I want to know if anyone has come across anything similar..
Large things like that if possible I'd like to get from within Canada so I don't get all the extra costs like duty, high shipping, etc...
