I was just wondering what everyone does for their spa pedicure when they are mobile.
Do you use parrafin wax and if so how do you do it, keep it warm and travel with it so it does not spill? How about hot towels how do you heat them. What does everyone use for a footbath and a chair for the client? Do you set up a whole theme in the clients house or how do you get the atmosphere?
I have been away from nails for about a year with the exception of a few clients that I do in their home. I am thinking about making this mobile business bigger but am not sure what works good and what does not. Any tips would be great
Thanks

I don`t use parrafin wax, but I`m sure pretty soon someone will post who does.

I use a gorgeous foot spa with different settings, massage, infa red, & rainwater effect soak etc etc..

My clients are happy to either sit on kitchen chair or living room chair, whilst they are having a foot soak, I put down a nice thick towel (in case any water goes on flooring) & then when I`m doing treatments, I have a little cushion I kneel on for my knees, (its bumpy sometimes) complete my procedure & I havent had one complaint yet..

Dead easy..

Hope this helps you.

I think you have set yourself a pretty impossible task to create a Spa atmosphere in someones home. The amount of stuff you would have to lug about!! I think Spa is what it implies and cannot be recreated in a home atmosphere.

However there is no reason not to use Spa products in someone's home so at least the client gets the benefit of those if not the ambiance. Some relaxing Music always is a bonus which can easily be done at home.

Would it not be much more beneficial to you money-wise to rent space in a salon or work self employed in a day spa? You can see so many more clients than being a home therapist.
