I started my acrylics 4 day nail course on Sunday and was asked to practice this week. We only did 2 nails on the training hand in the lesson but I did my sisters nails last night.

It took me 2 and a half hours And they are by no means perfect! There were some slight dents in the acrylic after I'd buffed so I definitely need to perfect shaping them

I've attached some pics for you guys to look at

Watch all that nail damage you have caused on your sisters nails from your tip blending. The goal is to blend the tip-well not the nailplate. Sorry to focus in on the bad, but if you don't get this right from the start or believe it is acceptable then that would be wrong.

Where is the white and the pink? Or are you just working with one colour?

The finished results will get better in time, but the things you can't see are in the end the most important ... Keeping your clients nails in a strong and healthy condition throughout months and years of wear.

although you have done a lot of blending you haven't managed to blend the corners of the tip, it takes an awful lot of practice to get your timings down and have a perfect set of nails! how about trying a softer grit file while you are practising to make sure you don't do too much damage.

also have a look on here and you tube for videos of people doing nails, the more you learn now the better in the long run,

good luck on your journey into the wonderful world of nails xx
