hello - just a quick question for you nail geeks:confused:

i'm currently training in bio-sculpture - (exam in feb - gulp!)

can you tell me how to restore natural nails after the gel has been removed? I know we only do minimal buffing to nail plate to remove shine - however once gel is taken off, the natural nail is left dull and slightly scratched.

what do you do if you client just wants nails to be left natural?

many thanks!

xx

Hiya...If the prep has been done correctly and with care, the removal done gently and as it should be with no picking and the clients have looked after them then the nails should be fine....

Nails can feel a little strange after gels but this should resume to normal after a few days.

You can buff the nails to seal the free edges and smooth any scratches (gentle prep shouldn't cause scratches) but i wouldn't go over buffing them. Use solar oil or equivalent and retail the client some to use also.

How did you find the Bio Sculpture trainning? I thinking about taking it, but do want make sure it is good.Do you do any other techniques?

Hello - I've found the bio-sculpture course great. Really friendly people and thorough training. I know this product is slightly more expensive, but so many clients have asked if I do it I felt this was they way to go.
I have completed the 1 and a half day course, covering overlays, scluptures and silk repairs.
I would definitely recommend it.
Hope this helps?
