Monday night saw the brightest and the best of the beauty world get together to celebrate this year's winners of InStyle magazine's Best Beauty Buys. Big winners were Sisley (long-time faves at InStyle BBB Awards) and nail stylist Sophy Robson, who won InStyle's award for most recognised in the nail industry. But, CND also went home with two InStyle BBB Awards. CND Stickey Base Coat won Best Base Coat and CND Solar Oil won't Best Cuticle Oil.
Speaking at the awards, Lucy Tucker, who's worked with Eva Longoria, said she can understand why CND Stickey wins (and keeps winning) this award, "This base coat is the stickiest around. It anchors the polish to your nail like no other. Apply one coat before colours or two coats alone for a natural, buffed finish."
And CND Solar Oil is no stranger to the InStyle BBB Awards too. Sophy Robson, InStyle's Queen of Manis said, "Everyone loves this, including Kate Moss. Either add a few drops to your hand cream or apply it directly to your nails once a day for super soft cuticles." And the piece de resistance? "It smells like almond cake."
Samantha Sweet, co-founder of Sweet Squared says, "As always it is a huge honour to receive an award. The InStyle Awards are voted for by the beauty industry elite, the best in their field, the voices that give the inspiration and advice to beauty editors, models, actresses and designers all over the world.
CND SolarOil went into the Hall of Fame in 2006 and CND Stickey went into the Hall of Fame in 2007. These two legendary CND mainstays have won their categories every year since. We are thrilled that CND SolarOil and CND Stickey have such a great fan base and we thank and honour all those great session nail artists that use CND and voted for us thank you."
