need help i dont understand

Hello i went for a hairdressing job today but i got told i was too enthusiastic and have been asked to go back and work for a week for free

is this right and how can you be too enthusiastic???

Hi, I agree that it could be a useful thing to put on your CV,
and as Dee says you never know
they may just take you on if you show them how well you can do,

I wouldn't build up your hopes about it though ,
I would just take it for what it is ,
and its just an offer for a bit of work experience ,

I am sure you will get a better offer than this in the future ,
but it may help you in future employment ,

this salon owner could give you a decent reference to show your next potential employer , this way you will have a head start over the other girls who may have no experience,

so you could use it as a stepping stone to gain a little work experience and a good reference,
