I first learn to ride horses from the age of 2, i progressed through pony club etc..to showing them both in hand and ridden events.
My daughter recently got her new pony and it is so quiet...that is until i got on it bareback
As i slid on and collected the reins, this pony decided to throw it in reverse, spin left and bolt up the paddock while bucking and carrying on. I managed to stay on for around 5 seconds but due to being bareback, i didnt have much to grip onto.
After i came off i knew i had done damage as my tailbone stung like crazy, yet my legs went numb. I sat for a few minutes trying to get together in my head what had just happened. My daughter absolutely lost it with crying and ran back to the feed shed as she was scared.
I knew i couldnt get up but i knew i had to move, so i pulled myself to the side a bit and noticed i had landed fair square on a rock, the size of a fist.
I have a massive black bruise on my bum not to mention extreme pain from my tailbone.......There goes work for this week :cry:
Has anyone ever hurt this particular bone and know what to do for it, i am at my wits end...
