Who has been watching?

I set the alarm this morning to watch Becky Adlington swim to her second gold medal. Not only did she win she smashed all her opponents and a world record. As a fellow Mansfield lass, I am so proud to see her be so impressive. Apparently we are even renaming the local swiming pool after her. Two gold medals - I think Dame Rebecca Adlington has quite a nice ring to it.

Whichh events have you been watching? We've got loads of medal chances today, so I for one will be glued to the TV. Is anyone else hooked?

As this is an international site, I wondered who the heroes are from other countries? Who have you been cheering?

Right, off to watch some rowing...

Hey Louisa - you wonderful patriarc you! Sam and I have been watching in the morning before work but getting home too late to turn the TV on.

I watched the chap who took silver in canouing and I watched some show jumping too. You have inspired me to turn the telly on!!

Lol Sam, I'm a complete sports addict. There's no chance of me moving far from the TV this weekend. It's nice that we finally have some sporting success to get excited about.

I got up at 1am to watch the Cross-Country phase of the Eventing last weekend - we took team and individual bronze medals which is a fab result!!! Got it on at the mo, been watching cycling and now it's athletics.......

Loving all the Olympic events really :lol:!!!

hehe six week holls and off work so tv is on all the time on bbc so i can catch it all. love it love it love it

Loisa we have been going nuts here in Spain with all these Gold medals rolling in! What a result for the UK!! Of course I haven't been watching (in the sun) but Dad keeps flying out of the door to update us!!

This will get the country a little more patriotic and hopefully get us seriously geared up for London!!

Don't rub it in Sam! It's raining again here!

Put us on a bike, in the water or in a boat and we can beat anyone! Running in a straight line seems more of a challenge lol.

I think it's brilliant that we're all getting behind our sports people for a change. Apparently Becky Adlington will be getting an open top bus tour through Mansfield and the freedom of the town - sounds more like punishment than a celebration to me! The mayor has even offered to buy her a pair of Jimmy Choo's as reward (I might take up swimming then :)).

Bless her - 2 golds was wicked. The US guy Phelps got ONE MEEEELION $$$$'S for getting his 8 golds. Think I would prefer that... then I could buy loads of Jimmy Choos (or in my case I would prefer Louboutin or Sergio Rossi - gorg!!)

I'd settle for any of those to be hoest lol!
