im using the opi absolute for my acrylic enhancements and its easy to use, but then ive heard some nail techs that find problems of breakage and lifting using opi absolute, ive almost finished my powders and liquid and just when im about to stock in some more, i just got a second thought of changing to creative or something. has anyone used opi absolute? and how'd you feel about it? but speaking about it, realising back my clients have had problems coming back to me in a month with almost 4-5 acrylic nails snapped off, but i thought maybe its because she left the acrylics too long, might not be the product. and she said she tried to pick and open boxes with her nails so that might be the cause as she packs a lot of things for her job. because my clientele are around the 20s thats why they dont come in for regular infills as its money costing.

Went out last night and my friends, friend had the most beautiful nails i had ever seen they were perfectly done.
I could tell they were enhancements just because underneath the free edge it was not as opaque as it would have been if they had been natural.
Anyway to get to the point i asked her what they were and she said the girl who does them uses OPI acrylic sculpts and she has had them on forever and just has infills.
She would be the sort of woman who would look after them and the work was perfect from ever angle i inspected them :) so i would say the product can definately work extremely well.

I think you've answered your own question there!!! Regardless of the product if this is how they treat their nails then they aren't going to be immaculate are they?

I have used OPI acrylic for about a year now after changing from another leading brand, and I have to say that all my lifting problems have gone and my clients are thrilled with their nails.

Instead of spending hundreds of pounds on changing your products you would be better off educating your clients how to look after their nails properly. How much do you charge for a reballance, for repairs etc? You have to make it financially worth their while to have regular maintenance, so maybe try charging more for each repair, and I know some techs will have a higher rb price if they go over 3 weeks.

Hi i have used OPI for 5 years and i love it, i have no problems at all and agree with the other posts that its educating your clients on the aftercare that will make a big difference. You could try having a look at the DVD and just refresh yourself it would be a big outlay to start up another brand when you have got a really good one there.
Hope you get is sorted i am sure you will.

thank you all for the advices, i personally love opi because its got a good reputation and name and the products are upmarket to be different from the other cheap salons down the st.ive just done my own infill a couple days ago and it still looks fabulous with perfect adhesion. ill stick with it!! thank you all for the support, i was so confused that its been 3 days revising over my order for more opi absolute if i should get it or change it, hahah.

Hi, do you use the OPI absolute? I learned with the absolute l&p and always got lifting, now i tried opi axxium gels and problem has been solved, but it s a pity all the powders i have have to stay in my drawers!
