Hi Geeks

i am a mobile nail therapist who also offers manicures and pedicures. I offer the service of paraffin wax which has proven to be very popular. I have bought a small wax pot that i use at the moment and take with me when i go to a clients house. This is okay but can get really messy when applying with a brush. I have been looking at purchasing one of the hive roll on wax machines as they offer this in paraffin wax form as well that you spray onto the client and thought that this might be better with been mobile as you can just put the screw cap back on when finished and there would be no chance of me spilling wax in my car. I also offer the service of normal waxing as well.

Just wondered if anyone has this system and what they thought of it before i bought one or if anyone has any other ideas on other systems that would be good for a mobile therapist.

Thanks Geek :)

Hi, i have the hive chamber heater you mention & it,s great to use for the paraffin wax spray bottles they sell. After massage i make sure there is still a good amount of massag medium/moisturiser on the skin then place their hand / foot in the polythene bag & spray but the spray can be a fine mist so the immediate area should be protected.
If you search threads there are other good hints & tips re: paraffin for example some therapists put the melted wax into a strong polythene bag first & wait till it gets to a suitable temp & squishy then place hand/foot in the bag & squish it all over. Hth:)
