Hi everyone
Which products like gel or mousse would be the best to define curls after the perm and what rod size would you use to create this look please. Thanks

Usually, I’d wind a spiral perm on thin bendy rollers.
However, it really depends on the hair you’re working with.
Whether it has some degree of natural curl, if it’s very soft and fine or naturally quite thick hair, the overall density etc.
You can see on the top pic that the hair has lost some definition at the root.

I probably wouldn’t use gel as that’s more likely to weigh it down too much. Mousse or cream is good scrunched into damp hair. Sit it in a diffuser to dry gently, but don’t play with the hair whilst it’s drying.

A curl creme is good for defining curls when the hair is dry.

I have naturally curly hair and I swear by
Tigi catwalk curls rock amplifier, Muk haircare kinky Muk or Affinage MODE tasty paste. All applied to towel dried hair.

Brilliant thanks everyone
