portfolio picture help!

Hi Geeks! ive started my nail portfolio - but im needing some pointers. I know that my camera setting should be on Macro when trying to take nail pictures, but can you give me any other advice on lighting, setup, etc? i want these pictures to look as fabulous as possible. thanks a bunch!

Get a small tripod, and turn off the flash. But make sure the area you're working in is well-lit (or that the lighting that is there suits the shot you're going for). Experiment with your light sources, too.
