I have noticed that since ive been pregnant my skin is a complete mess and would like some help with dealing with it !

My skin type is oily and prone to acne. The last week my skin has suddenly gone ultra dry and my chin has erupted into the himalayas, its really sore and red and is exactly the same as what it was when I was first prescribed roaccutene 5 years ago.

Everything I apply (my usual dermalogica products) makes my skin burn and itch and in desperation I actually got my boyfriend to massage e45 into my skin !!!!

As I very rarely have clients that are pregnant I don't know much about how it effects your skin so I would love to know if I should be changing my products to something else or stick it out and in a few weeks I wil have gorgeous glowing skin ?!

Not much help but my skin didnt really change much when i was pregnant. Useless aint i lol :hug:

It's unusual, though not unheard of, for the skin to go dry - most of my clients complain about oilyness, blackheads & blemishes! Are you in your 1st trimester? Most of the pregnant women I have treated found the hormonal imbalance & metabolism changes in the first trimester affected their skin (causing the blemishes), but this generally clears up in the 2nd when the oestrogen starts to greatly increase. That said, no two pregnancies ever seem to be the same, even with the same person.

when i was pregnant i had exact same problem! And this was for the whole of my prenancy! i used bio-oil for my body and a real gentle exfoliator for my face, get one with vitamin e in it.its really gentle for sensitive skins. i wasalso told to try a light facial massgae to stimulate the sebaceous glands a bit too but try not to Over stimulate them as you may end up with oily skin again. Light effeluege and tapotment movements should be ok. it seemed to work for me! hth x

Thanks guys

My skin seems to have become more re-hydrated since I posted but still got the spots and the skin is peeling off them

I am hoping it will start to glow soon !
