Everytime I finish a client with sealant I always find I can see file makings. Is there something I am doing wrong in prepÉ

Using too coarse of a file before you add your sealant I would say or using too much pressure on your file to leave such deep marks.

I use a 180 to prep the nail a 80 to file any product. This is what I was taught.

You shouldn't need anything harsher than a 240 grit on the natural nail, and then it's only for removing shine!
A 180/240 should be enough for refining the shape.

:D

Ok I will try a 240 file.

An 80 grit file is WAY to harsh for finishing enhancements ... I don't think I have ever even seen an 80 grit file!! :D

You will get on so much better using much higher grits and less pressure 180/240 is perfect for everything when filing acrylic --- as Sandi says nothing lower than 240 for the natural nail and even then I'd be doing as little as possible.
