Hi geeks, im just writing to see what your opinions are about my dilemma.
I have just opened my rented room where i am doing mainly holistic therapies however i also have manicure/pedicure on my price list as i am trained to do it so thought why not put it on my list.
My dilemma is, there is another lady across the corridor who is doing nails only which are artificial but she also does mani/pedi .
My prices are higher than hers because its the price im happy to charge for my service. However, the shop owner has said today, it is pointless having two people doing the same and that we dont wqant to fall out over costs.
Obviously, no, i dont want to fall out with her(havent met the lady yet) but i work different days from the her and if anything i think if people think im expensive then they will go to her anyway so dont think sahe has anything to worry about?
However i was thinking how i would feel if another massage therapist did the same thing. Surely, its personal preference and if my clients are happy to pay my prices should i change or delete them from my menu?? Im aware it isnt an ideal set up being so close to each other but i have to start somewhere but also dont like to cause unrest. What do you think? Im using this room opportunity as a starting point but obviously if i was on my own there wouldnt be an issue. Thanks x x
