Question re: OPI gel nails

This is a bit strange. I went to get gel nails and toes in a local salon. The salon uses OPI and I am certain they use the real thing and seem to use the full system, opi light etc.

I got a pink colour that has a purple shimmer. However after four days the gel on my fingers have turned purple. The gels on my toenails are still pink. I have beem using the same cuticle oil on both. The only thing can think of is that I hand washed a top in a mild detergent on Friday? Could that cause such a change?

I have never had the issue before. To be honest the purple is quite a nice shade!

This can happen with pinks of any brand. They don't seem to be very stable. Plus your hands see the sunlight, which can cause colour changes as well.

Thanks. I this is my first time going for pink tones. I normally go for nudes or purples. The change was fairly dramatic.
