I was reading up on nail tech courses in Glasgow and emailed the salon Rebel Rouge because they had an education section. It turns out that it is a home study course then has a couple of days training with the salon itself.

I know some home-study things have a bad name but has anyone heard of this? Or, at least, does it sound any good?

Cheers

Sorry, never heard of it. I dont think you can beat class room education when learning nail techniques.

I suggest you contact Fiona Wallace or Izzidoll on here as they both do training in your neck of the woods.

It fitted in with my life at the minute and was in a city centre location... CND is too far away and Izzidoll's website has no info about education on it yet. Might try to get a hold of an EzFlow person cos I think they're in Glasgow.

nsi are also in glasgow, and are very helpful, they are in hillington if thats any use?

:)

I agree with Fiona AKA naturalnails regarding class room education being the most appropriate method for most learners.

Regarding training in the Central Belt of Glasgow, again naturalnails is spot on. Fiona Wallace of CND comes highly recommended, as does Sparklybits of Young Nails based in Grangemouth. Both of these ladies can be reached by PM on this site.

Izzidoll - although an excellent educator - is not hosting classes at the moment. She is working more in a business development role at the moment, though I'm sure she will be back in the classroom shortly;)

Outside on the "Nailgeek" world NSI in Glasgow have a good reputation for training, and there are countless other private education centres and colleges offering classes.

HTH's.

You're right, our Affiniti website doesn't have information relating to training as our programme isn't launching until the summer time.

If you don't want to travel then NSI is a good option. My wife done her initial training there, before switching to another couple of brands. It certainly done her no harm as she is now qualified at Educator level!

Regards Ezflow training, I'm not entirely sure if they are hosting education classes in Scotland at the moment. I'm sure if you email Amber Gibbons, EzFlow Brand manager - [email protected] she would be happy to advise.

I think it looks alright, I know home study isn't great but they do offer some training in the place too?
