I was thinking of switching to their line and I was wondering everyone's thoughts about their products because their numbering system isn't that confusing and I've always been satisfied with their perms. I'm particularly interested in Color Fusion, there are so many shades but does it mix up thick enough to use with foils? What about their bleaches, are they suitable for VERY dark haired clients? They don't offer anything that can lift 8-10 levels? Any of their products to steer clear of?

hey i work in a redken salon and just attended the redken artist party in Manchester. their products are the best and my salon use only redken the colours are amazing too redken products put back into the hair what colour takes away and redken unveiled a new bleaching product at the show called blonde glam witch retains 100 percent of the lipids in hair even after a bleach from dark to light and there is also an ammonia free version! hope this helps

Wow, only one reply?! I still need advice.

Hi, I thought Loreal owned Redken or the other way around lol x ?

Yes, Loreal owns Redken.

Hi there!

Redken is a very good colour range, and the numbering system is straight forward and pretty easy to follow. Colour fusion mixes to a good consistency, and there is no problem at all using it with foils. I have no problem with the bleaches, and have had successfull results on dark hair. I cannot think of any particular product to steer clear of, overall the products give a pleasing result!

Hope that helps!

If you are still considering Redken, let me know. I am a Redken Master Specialist and would to spend more time talking to you about changing to Redken. In the meantime, check out Redken Professional - Fashion. Science. Inspiration. and check out the products offered by Redken and feel free to ask me any questions.

I use redken shades EQ and it is by far and away the very best semi range on the market. I use bits of colour fusion, mainly the high lift blondes and it is superb.
