Hello geeks

I am considering rentng a hair in a salon for a time and wondered how much on average one should epect to pay on a weekly basis (in London)?

Also does anyone know of salons that would rent on a 'day' basis - so if i were thinking that i want to be based in a salon on a Friday and Thursday only? Would this be a likely possibility?

Hi, I did it that way for a while before I decided to open my own salon. Here it is about average to pay £30.00 per day for facilities only, you supply the product. Not sure about London as obviously its going to cost more than a small market town. I did 2 days a week at first, ran my own book and the hairdresser helped me advertise at the time.

Thanks Sam. I have been enquiring in some salons about this though have mostly been quoted a weekly rate - perhaps I should go back and suggest a daily rate. Did it work for you being in a salon on specific days? How many did you do?

I am mobile currently however was considering having a base for a few days a week from a salon - I wanted to trial it mainly becaus I feel that I am spending lots of time and energy travelling to clients (which I love) but wondered whether having a two-thronged approach may work both for me and some of my clients alongside attracting/building a new client base.

I would also like to get more insight into the operational management of a salon as I would at some stage like to own one - so a few reasons to consider this as an option.

I welcome all of your pearls of wisdom on this geeks :o)

I charge a flat rate of 50 a day, just outside London. That includes very little in terms of extras tho.
