Hi all

Do you really need to go on a course to learn this or can it be self taught?
Are there any books dvd's or is it just practice on your mates?:irked:

It really depends on whether you are already trained in waxing. If you have a basic waxing certificate then you may be able to train yourself with a roller, but if not then yes you need to do a basic waxing course, to learn all the basic of contra-indications,A&P, health and safety, client consuiltation, legal & insurance requirements. Application technique (and no, you don't just roll it on anyway)

Likewise you cannot get insurance without training....and waxing is an easy treatment to 'get wrong' if you don't know what you are doing, you can miss a contra-indication of you don't know what they are, burn someone, damage their clothing, or skin in another way. How would you feel if this happened and someone sued you - it does happen. Without insurance you would be in deep trouble.....not to mention debt afterwards

In fact, pretty much the same advice you had last time you asked
