Due to client demand, we are going to start offering gel nails and acrylics. The thing is, I vere towards the more natural treatments and never did "nails" when I was at college. The girls all trained on LCN and hated them but love the doing the nails, they have all worked at other salons which all seemed to use different brands! Some of them think creative nails are good, but what I really need to know is WHATS popular, whats good and whats got a great reputation? HELP! Also a client was in last week asking if we will be doing the "rubber" extensions - What??

I've never heard of 'rubber' extensions! although some gels can feel rubbery!

To be honest there are a ton of good...well great brands out there and everyone on here will recommend one - and many different ones! The best thing you can do is do a good search, and note down any brands you hear good things about....to start you off, I'd look at Creative, EZflow, Bio Sculpture, Calgel etc who all have great reputations amongst techs here!

Then contact the supplier and ask for information and where possible trial kits. You will also need to look as to whether you have training local to you...as you will need conversion courses at least!

Good luck!
