Hi can anyone tell if it is a health and safety legislation that you have to have wash basins in every treatment room or is it ok if you are in a certain distance to a basin ?

In England no you do not have to have washbasins in a treatment room but must have access to one.

I have a mobile one in the room next to my treatment room.

It also depends what services you are delivering too.

It depends where you are in the country.

Some councils insist on a sink in the treatment room.

I have 2 rooms with wash basins in but 2 which have no means of drainage but are in so many feet away from the use of a basin so I'm hoping that would be sufficient enough .ill try and give my local council a call tomorrow .thanks for all replies x
