Shadow root

If you do a shadow root say two or more levels darker so for example
Base 4 shadow and rest level 6 quite red when the clients ready for redoing would you do shadow root as before and overlap the first one with the red? In just wondering how it all grows out and how easy it is to keep doing every few weeks without the roots getting stretched longer each time Thanks

If the shadow root starts growing out too long to you or your clients liking, you will have to touch up the red area again and kind of start over. They might like the way it grows out for awhile or they may not. I have some clients who come in once or twice just for a shadow root touch up and then we touch it all up around the 3rd visit. It all depends on the end result the client is wanting each and every visit.
