I found a huge difference in look and feel between Glitter that has been designed for nails and what I call 'Christmas Card' Sparkles.
When using a specific coloured Glitter I tend to use the Shellac colour as close to that as possible to give it a move even looking coverage.

Place a Soft Landings Towel underneath he hand to catch the Glitter that get loose. I don't recycle the glitter that falls off as it could have 'sticky bits' in or on it and I don't want to be putting that back in my jars.
Scrub Glitter in to inhibition and remove excess around the finger tips.

I use Nail Graphx and Irresistible Glitters from The Finger Tips Centre in Edinburgh and Sweet Squared in Leeds.
