I just wondered where i can get some impressive statistics about the nails industry to put in my business plan?????

If anyone has any or knows where to get them, I'd really appreciate it.

It is very difficult even for suppliers to get accurate statistics about the nail industry .... we have tried for many years thru magazine polls etc to do so, but without regulations and licensing there is no register of the number of techicians who are in business!! We can do guesstimates but that is all.

Nails magazine (the American 0ne) product a special 'year in review' copy of the magazine which has fantastic data on the American scene. You could email them for a copy of 2003.

I have put the article in the post. I also found another regarding manicures and how the Office of National Statistics(ONS) now regard it as an "essential purchase". A manicure now forms part of their "shopping basket" of products which is used to calculate national spending of disposable income.

You should get them both in the next few days
