Swarovski Crystal Ped with Shellac help x

Hi Girlies

I have done a shellac ped with Swarovski crystals but some crystals have come off the day after!!

I did my prep
then base
then clearly pink
then applied crystals
then top coat

What have I done wrong!! My client asked me not to apply the top coat and to just dap it between the crytals she didn't want a flat top suface! Is this why????????????????

I have not tried it that way around before, I have done a set with base coat colour top coat then nail glue then crystals but no top coat as I found it can dull the stones?

What about setting the stones in un-cured top coat?
