I own a nail salon, and the acrylic smell gave me a headache. But then into a company that installed me an exhaust system to rid of all harmfull chemical. Feel much better. Just wanna share with all of nail salon owners outthere.

Remember that all nail companies advise an extraction ventilation system to help with a dust free and clean environment .... seldom do people want to take that advice or pay for one but they should.

Smells can be virtually eliminated with good working practices as well. But I would always have extraction ventilation for dust (far more of a potential hazard to health).

When I used to own a nail salon I would get headaches and feel really sick, We were based in a small unit in Middlesbrough shopping centre so the fumes stuck in the Unit.

If the smell in a salon (even a small one) is as bad as you both indicate then you both need training in how to minimise it.

Odour does not have to be a problem and is an indication that you are not working correctly with your product.

I LOVE the smell of monomer... I know, I'm a sickie! :D
