The law and treating minors

Hi!
I'm new here and currently refreshing my nail technician certificate after 11 years. I'm doing an online course and I've got stuck on a question - I can't seem to find help any where!

The question is:

Should you bruise a nail of a minor whilst carrying out a treatment without parental consent? What legal problems could occur?

Now obviously my answer is that I would not do nail enhancements on a minor without parental consent but that obviously won't answer the question.

Would be grateful for any help!!

They could sue you and your insurance would not cover you because you didnt seek parental consent. That would be my answer
