I have read threads on here where people have mentioned a salon using the tip and dip (or Backscratchers) method and I just wondered if this means there are salons/home based nail technicians who JUST use this method? I do want to learn all systems eventually but am considering starting with just manicure services and tip and dip to get me used to working on paying clients before I offer 'more complicated' enhancements.

As always, your help and comments are greatly appreciated.

I don't believe that anyone makes a proper living just offering the tip & dip system to clients ... it is probably the least asked for system but as you say it is easy to learn and will get you started if that's what you want. To me it is just delaying the inevitable which is that you will have to learn L&P and gels to get a real business that makes you a living, and learning and gaining competency in those systems takes allot of time so my advice would be to get started as soon as possible on the serious service choices that will make you money.
