In the current economic climate it’s difficult to justify a budget for marketing so lets all put our heads together and think of some creative and cost effective ways to market our businesses

I’ll start the ball rolling with this one…

Launch a competition:

It’s quite a cost effective marketing activity to give your services or products away, and it’s a great way to promote them, even if the competition winner doesn’t become a repeat customer it makes other clients aware of your services. Plug the competition on your website and contact local media companies and ask if they’d be interested in a giveaway, most will have a minimum prize value but if you can meet that requirement it could be some fab free marketing.

Get creative when thinking up a theme to give the competition the wow factor – the possibilities are endless
