I have a lady coming for a paraffin wax pedicure, paraffin wax manicure and half leg wax on Wednesday.

What order should I do them in?

I was thinking pedicure, manicure then leg wax so that the nails have time to dry and there is a gap between pedicure and leg wax. Is this correct?

Hi

i would do the leg wax first as she'll smudge nails and toes adjusting clothing and her position.

Then do the manicure.

Then do the pedicure last. Her fingernails can dry whilst you are doing this. Only fill the foot spa to just below ankle level and same for paraffin so that neither hot water nor paraffin touches area you've just waxed. Use afterwax lotion for her foot and leg massage.

I'm sure others on here will have advice too, but that's what i would do.

i would do it the way you suggested pedi ,mani, wax .but before you start get her to put on a dressing gown just so she doesn't smudge getting undressed/dressed:green:

Wax
Manicure
Pedicure
This way you have no risk of smudging and fingernails should be dry before she leaves. Also. it's always a shame to end a pampering visit with waxing. I avoid it whenever it is possible.

i would do the pedicure and have the client in a dressing gown so she doesnt smudge nails inbetween, then manicure with her still lying on the bed and then the waxing.

waxing before the pedicure is a no no as your follicles are open and when doing the leg massage the product can get into them and maybe cause an infection and it probably wont be as relaxing as her legs would still be red etc from the waxing :)

If using a normal massage oil there is no risk of infection. Think of what you apply after waxing anyway - oil to remove wax, and then a moisturiser of some sort massaged in which is incredably soothing to freshly waxed skin! So all you would need to do for the pedicure is ensure that the massage medium is ok.

i always do waxing first...get the pain out of the way so they can relax and enjoy the rest. also they will smudge polish by getting undressed and dressed.

then manicure-always do this first if doing man and ped, as people do more with their hands and are more likly to smudge. make sure they bring flip flops for after ped. sometimes if people are worried about putting their flip flops on after i get them to put them on just b4 i paint and paint while in the flip flop. still get them to sit for 5 or 10mins after though if they can.

If I have lots of treatments in I always finish with the most relaxing, so even if she was having a massage too, i would get her to put a gown on at the beggining of the treatments. so she goes out so relaxed she'l be booking her next appointment straight away!!!

i had exactly the same quandry on saturday!

I did wax first then mani then pedi.

Reasoning being the mani and pedi are enjoyable treatments to relax after the waxing.

If you wax first the follicle's are still open so when doing leg exfoliation and massage in your pedicure well you wont be able to do it. As you;d tell a client for waxing aftercare dont apply any products, tan perfumed moisturisers no heat treatments stuff like that for 4-8 hours after waxing

I would just use scrub on the feet, not the leg, and as I said if you use an oil for the massage then there is no problem!

Personally, i do the waxing first and get the pain out of the way, as said before. Also if the legs were creamed up from the pedicure massage, the waxwouldn't stick.

Then the mani, so their nails dry in plenty of time before leaving.

Finally, the pedicure, ensuring that the massage medium is hypoallergenic.

I've never had any problems and my clients always tell me how they prefer to get their waxing out of the way. HTH xx
