I see. Yes, you must use a UV lamp to cure UV gel.

some distributors will sell their UV Lamps as lights, however they are really lamps. UV Lamps hold UV bulbs that emit UV light. This is the same for counterfeit money detectors. They are lamps with bulbs that emit UV light.

However since you cant produce the UV light without a bulb and a lamp, it is pretty safe to say an advertised UV Light is a synonym for a UV lamp
