I am setting up a hairdressers in a busy village high street. I am not a hairdresser but am training! I need to take on a senior stylist to help me set up and run the business. How much would I be expected to pay him/her? Would I be best to rent a chair to her for £50 and then take a commission? If so, how much? I would be happy to pay them more for the additional help/ support they could give me. What do you feel would be a fair payment to reflect this? They would be responsible for training the junior in the salon and look generally oversee the business in my absence. Would it be better if they were self employed or employed?
Many thanks for any help you can give me!
