weave extensions advice

hi everybody,

I'm off to get woven in hair extensions today, cant wait. does anyone have them. if so how easy are they to look after also how long do they last???
also what sort of shampoo should i use.
I'm a hairdresser but i have not trained in extensions so i feel a bit like a nervous client!!!

hi we do them all the time in our salon..
they are easy to maintain. our clients use normal shampoo and the hair doesnt shed as easily because its on a weft.
depends on how thin your hair is as to how long it lasts.
ive had some that keep it in for around 11/12 weeks.
ive had people with extrememly thin hair and it last around 7/8.

obvioulsy depends on how you look after it and quality of hair but it should last closer to the 12 week mark then.. if done by a good hairdresser obvously..lol

Hi Ya,

I'm not a hairdresser but i have had my hair extensions weaved in for years and my hair is really fine. Even if they last 12 weeks if the quality of the hair is not good they will matte and feel horrible so you'll end up needing them replaced even if they aren't 'loose'. hth xx

i would that they last around a month depending on how fast your hair grows.
you can get specialised shampoos for wefted hair that you can buy

if it only lasted a month and they used good quality hair id get a new hairdresser as ive been doing it for years and not once has it lasted just a month
