Weave hair extensions

Hi,

Ive got a appointment this friday to see about getting a weave sewn in. I would just like to know how they would do it in my hair, as i have shoulder length hair. Where would they braid it? (i'm getting it done in a afro/carib hair salon)

Has anybody had it done? How does it last? and can you still wash your hair etc?

If you have European hair I would check they have done European hair. As if they don't they may do it too tight for your hair type and it may be uncomfortable.
