Hi! Has anyone here ever been on/completed the Wella colour degree? I only ask as I'm seriously considering it (but am self employed!) and wondered if there were any real career benefits?

I think i'm going to it not next year but the following i'll have to get saving but i'm going to do a vidal sasson cutting course next year hence the gap.
I'm mobile too but i don't care I want to be the best at what I do, Why should it just be for in salon stylist !!:green:

I'm interested in learning more about this too, I believe they have three different stages to their advanced program.

I wonder if the content is simular to loreal colour specialist.

I've emailed and spoken to the lady who runs the course and apparently it's four stages! Including a written essay and final 'test' as it were...both are 85% of passing so was slightly worried...what happens if you don't pass?! But like you said if you just want to be the best may as well just do it!

Yes! I'm a wella master expert!
I completed about 6 yrs ago and attend the master colour congress every year.
It's hard work but worth every penny and every minute spent!
It is the most inspiring thing I've ever done in my career (25 yrs in the industry)
Go for it!

Ps yes the exam is hard but it's a great feeling when you pass! I got 98%!

Oh wow that's brilliant!! So you became a colour expert from the colour degree? Yes I'm all prepared for hard work but I suppose it's like anything that's new...always get a bit nervous! Thankyou so much for your response! :)

I spoke to wella the other day , you just keep repeating it untill you pass

Yes you can call yourself a Wella master colour expert after completion which obviously raises your profile.
I've done all sorts with Wella since too, like being chosen to be part of the marketing development of some advertising campaigns.
I'm still friends with some of the people I met on my course too. Out of all the things I've done in my career ( there's been quite a few lol) this was deffo the best!
Good luck!

Wow that's all great to hear! Thankyou so much! :)

I really want to do it just carnt afford it lol xx

How much is it?

Wow! Worth it tho I bet :)
