I'm interested in seeing if we follow what we preach. I don't wear makeup so have become a bit lazy with facial products plus I quite like the whole low maintenance thing but I am starting to think I should make more effort. What do you do?

I'm low maintenance Id like to think lol. I will sometimes steam my face and do the whole cleanse tone and moisturise but thats not that often ... I just normally apply face cream every day ! I have started to tint my eyelashes and use cluster lashes so I don't have to wear eye mascara , gives me a little bit extra time each morning [emoji5]️ !

I do what I was trained to do as a skincare professional, cleanse, tone, exfoliate, mask, spritz, eye cream, serum, moisturise, everything used as it should. If you can't use your skincare as trained you can't expect your clients to follow suit. Anyway, I do it for myself not just for my business and it shows in my skin. Zero wrinkles (unless I screw my face up) and I'm almost 45.

I've always followed a professional skin care routine as I've always been in the "industry" - I was born in to it so to speak (mother/sisters etc) lol. I use everything I stock (Dermalogica) but do swap between the segmented lines depending on my skin. At the moment I've got psoriasis on my face so I'm on the ultracalming cleanser, mist (toner), ultracalming concentrate (serum) and barrier repair (moisturiser) plus my eye serum as my psoriasis makes my skin sensitive. I also drink Skinade which I stock (collagen & vitamin drink). I would never go to sleep in my make up (yes I use ALL Jane Iredale that I stock) doesn't matter how tired/drunk I am it's coming off! As a professional (I specialise in skin care) I practice what I preach to my clients.
You don't have to use 6+ products on your skin everyday though - a simple cleanse, tone & moisturise is a good start every day with exfoliation 2 weekly [emoji4]

I use environ avst cleanser that removes all make up including eyes. I remove that with a clean wet flannel. I use cquence eye gel, avst 4 moisturiser and their brand new Avance peptide serum. Same at night. I don't use spf as I wear Jane Iredale make up most days with spf in it. I'm 51 and was asked the other day if I was Vicki. When I said I was the lady looked at her notes and said "but it says here you're 51" I said I was. She said "my god I thought you were in your 30s".

That'll do for me!

Precleanse, special cleansing gel PM or ultra calming AM, daily microfoliant, whatever serum and eye cream I get in my glossy/birch box and skin smoothing cream

Where did I say that I use 6+ products EVERY day? I said I use them as directed.

I cleanse and tone my face most days. And whack some nice clean and clear moisturiser on [emoji51]

And I'm awful at night. Most of the time I rub my eyes (due to allergies) and smear make up over my face and rarely remove it. [emoji17]

I can't get into the habit of washing my face at night.

I know wipes are bad for you. But can anyone recommend a product that I could use on a cotton pad and wipe over my face? Better something than nothing, right?!

I have recently been using Clinique blemish cleanser, toner and moisturiser. But ran out of the moisturiser so just using up what I already had. I'm getting low on toner.
I don't REALLY know what's best for my skin (I'm a hair geek). And my local beautician uses Arbonne. [emoji51]

Hi @Tori1992
Pretty much any cleanser on a cotton pad wiped over your face will be better than any wipes! I think Clinique are one of the most astringent ranges on the market so I'm so not a fan. Clean and Clear moisturiser is just a cheap OTC product - apart from that your skincare regime is great lol!!!

You're in north Devon - there are definitely some salons down there that do great skincare - in which I don't include Arbonne - but I think you know that!!!

Any advice, just shout, but the right skincare can leave your skin feeling amazing.

You're a hairdresser, so you know the difference between what the client buys in Boots and what they can have done in the salon. Go on and treat yourself!

Just because a persons post is directly below yours, it doesn't mean they are directly referring to anything you have said, I think beautyxperts was referring to her own regime!

Jeez Sharkster bad day?! I was referring to my own routine nothing to do with yours, it's only Tuesday [emoji85]

Which skin care ranges would you recommend? I'll look for salons that do those brands? X

I use and love Decleor. Used it for many years and occasionally change as I think it's not as effective as it was then quickly change back when I realise it is. It's never a chore to use as it feels and smells divine.

I love my Clinique facial brush, foaming cleanser and their moisturiser...eek!

I rarely wear much make up these days but if I've got a client, I will make a bit of effort with my hair and as a minimum, I always use mascara.

I'm so lazy I barely even brush my hair.

I use Dermalogica products (just thought I would mention they now do pre-cleanse wipes for those looking for a quick make up remover wipe- although it is best to still use a cleanser after this but still better than normal wipes)

I use pre cleanser, special cleansing gel, multi toner, skin smoothing cream- every night then just tone and moisturise every morning and exfoliate twice a week.

Anyone use a electrical cleansing brush? Thinking of using one would appriciate anyone's opinions/advice x

Well that would have to be environ. You could literally get away with a cleanser and a moisturiser if you're super lazy lol .

I personally think cleansing brushes are really invasive and excessive for just cleaning your face. I'm sure others will have a different view x
