What is the main color line at use in your salon? Do you use more than one, for different results? I have decided that I am not particularly happy with Redken at the moment, and I am considering breaking the color department up..... ie stocking different lines for different blondes, browns, brunettes, highlifts.
What do you all use?

Shades EQ for semi, majirel for permanent.

What is it you are not happy about Redken colour at the mo?

Wella koleston, but recently switched to NXT and have to say i'm really impressed:) i still use wella colour touch for Semi's though

There are a couple things im not overly impressed with. We use their coverfusion, shadesEQ and gels.

Not liking the gels period. Saturation is weak, and I find regardless of application, strand by strand is almost never even. The high lift is a joke!

Coverfusion is great, just small spectrum, tend to mix most colors.

Shades has me against a wall.....i love the toning ability, (the ivy and moss, but only when using it on dry hair, for full toning ability and that is time consuming.) I was told it was a great 'sink' toner but I have found it wont hold to damp hair. Tone appears gone within a week.

The shine is fab! 000 is part of every color I process.
For semi permanent coloring it is great, minus the red shades. They are weak, drab and have no pop. Their violet is nonexistant.

I cannot seem to acheive the long lasting deep reds that they tout, nor the ease of toning. My blondes are my best customers but id love to cut their time in the chair.

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated, as our Redken color technician was NO Help WHATSOEVER. Our color specialist in the area made out like our expectations were unrealistic, but I had no problems with Matrix before this???????

I use loreal for everything, and im realy happy with it, nice and rich and also thick so they stay exactly where I put them. However I use igora vario blonde bleach as it never swells in the hair, which I find some bleaches do alot. In salons before I have used wella, also loved this.

If you are putting 00 or crystal clear in whch is not necessary, it will dilute the tones.

I love shades eq, wet or dry application. I use majirouge, majicontrast and majimode for reds.

I use it in the second half of processing, to shine up midshaft and ends & to avoid the extra level of deposit. Is mostly the gels that I cant seem to get laid in properly. I find I avoid permanent coloring and tend to use the other lines first.
