What legal requirements does a beauty room need

Hi all

I want to start my own business and rent a room for beauty treatments.
i have public liability and treatment extension insurance with BABTAC.
i have all the relevent qualifications for the treatments.
what sort of other legal requirements are there for this type of business?
i dont have any employees. and the room will be rented from somebody that uses the downstairs for their business, so i dont know if that effects the fire safety things like extinguishers,exits etc.
my equipment is new so it doesnt need testing or anything.
i dont need ents licence coz no music or radio.
what else is there. could anybody help, i want to make sure i know...

Make sure you have MSDS and COSHH sheets for everything, also you will need to complete risk assessments.

Even though your equipment is new I would have it PAT tested as well and keep certificates for those. Get a lockable cabinet for your client records. HTH:hug:
