i've been getting extensos for the past few years and my hair always comes out extremely flat and limp.

i was wondering if extenso can be done even without the use of a flat iron. i just want my hair straight, but still with a little volume...not uber flat like what always happens after i get an extenso

Technically yes bet your hair plate will be damaged by brushes and dryer. Why don't you try, using the flat iron but avoiding repeating in each section. I think its could help from a very flat and limp condition.

thanks for the advice. will try that the next time. thanks! :)

You could always try using a root lifter to add some volume. This might sound bad, but a friend of mine had pin straight hair, she started using a small bit of dry shampoo at her roots and it kind of added some bulk where she applied it. That might help.
