Hi,
I'm currently in the process of completing my NVQ2 nail technician, but I dont know where to start in the whole approaching salons for an apprenticeship or employment. do i start by creating a professional portfolio? or would a CV suffice? would it be helpful to walk into my local salons and ask whether there are any vacancies or look at online recruitment sites. I have been looking online, but literally all requirements ask for at least a years experience and a completed NVQ.
I've been doing my work so far as a mobile tech, but do not feel that my client base is very strong, and would really like to get established in a salon.
any suggestions would be appreciated.
