Anyone live in a council property and run a home salon?

hi everyone...

I'm wanting to open a beauty room at my parents house but their house is a council property which they rent. I just wondered if any of you do the same or is it even possible? I know I need to contact the local council to ask but I don't want to get my hopes up if its a no go

I think it's a restriction by most councils that you can't but best to contact your own council and check as they're all different.
