Help with chrome nails

Hi I can get a lovely chrome finish from chrome powders however when I go to put top coat on it, it seems particles of the powder in the air settle on the nail and it ends up more like a glitter finish...any advice? x

Are you making sure your non-wipe top coat has completely covered the nail?

Have you tried wiping over the nail with a lint free pad right before you put the top coat on?
