hello all- i'm not a professional but trying to help my wife style her long hair- about bra strap length. she has some severe hand issues and has trouble holding tools and styling her long hair, mostly into wavy and or curly styles. her hair has some long layers and is slightly wavy. she's ready...
hair is dyed red but the last few colorings the hair has gone darker. want to get it back redder, but without stripping. would a good clarifying shampoo used prior to the next coloring help in trying to get the hair a bit redder/ brighter? if so what kind do you recommend and how often and...
thanks so much for the response! she does get a basic trim about every 8 weeks or so and she does have just a few long layers- you can hardly even tell they're there, tho! maybe more layering - and i'll pass on your advice! much appreciated!
I was hoping one of you kind professionals can provide some advice. My wife's hair is about as long as the model in this photo. her hair is thick (and colored) and it is "seemingly" straight to wavy. I say "seemingly" because underneath her hair is more curly. She does have just a few long...

thanks- i really appreciate your advice. she said the stylist didn't think her eyebrows should match her hair - aesthetically. She probably would need the brows to be bleached since her natural color is dark brown (with a touch of gray!). Her hair had to be bleached when first going red...
was hoping for a bit of advice/ tips. My wife is not a natural redhead. her eyebrows are her natural dark brown/ with a touch of grey. She asked the stylist to color them as well but she said it wouldn't look good. my wife has shown me pictures of redheads (natural and not) with eyebrows more...
thanks - i assume the stylist is experienced! i'll have her ask her directly too - but my understanding is in order to lift the color more - make it redder - she recommended the clarifying shampoo prior to coloring and then she going to use 20% on the developer - and then it will make her hair...
Rosie- thank you so much! that is the same procedure her stylist recommended. Use clarifying shampoo first then using 20 vol peroxide at the next coloring to make her hair redder. really appreciate the info!
looking for advice - my wife has her dyed red at a salon (she's natural brown, with a lot of grey) and is trying to go redder. the stylist recommended she use a clarifying shampoo a week prior to her next coloring and the stylist also said she'd up the developer to 20% from 10%. my understanding...
OK- my wife is a natural brunette (with gray). she had her hair bleached and dyed red over a year ago and it looked fantastic. she just changed salons and had it colored. it's now more mahogany - not as red as before. is there an easy way to go back to more red? she's hoping not to bleach...
thank you- yes, great look and would definitely want professional opinion. i was just trying to find more pictures but i'm having trouble. so i was wondering if there was certain keywords i should use
hello - is there a name of this style of bangs? where the longer bits overlay the shorter ones underneath? also, if
anyone has similar photos' to share that'd be great!
!
OK- thank you both for the replies. Surf girl -that is a good analogy and I appreciate it. Unfortunately we can't really afford a salon but maybe a school is an option. thanks again
